Northern Tier Counseling was founded in 1993 as a 501c3 not for profit private organization. It has since been a leader in providing mental health, behavioral health, psychiatric, and drug & alcohol treatment services to the communities we serve. As you can see from our programs page, we provide a wide variety of treatment services to those in need. Our mission statement is to welcome and serve all those seeking wellness, renewal, and hope.

The Outpatient Mental Health Program’s goal is to assist individuals experiencing any number of life stressors through the use of a variety of interventions. NTC provides Outpatient Mental Health Services to Bradford, Sullivan and Tioga County’s as well as other surrounding counties and residents of New York State. We not only provide therapy to promote whole body and mind health and wellness, but we also provide Psychiatric Evaluations and Medication Management follow up after the Evaluation when psychotropic medication is needed. Out Medical staff provide a comprehensive exam to explore the need and possible benefits of adding a medication regime to a participant’s treatment plan. Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) are extensively trained individuals who have been through the “lived experience” of the Mental Health system and are at a place in their own recovery where they are ready to help others. The CPS is an example of one’s ability to overcome the barriers created by symptoms of mental illness and lead a successful and satisfying life. Get more information about our Peer Support program.
The Wellness Center is a program based on recovery, hope, personal growth and consumer choice. NTC’s Wellness Center is designed with the participant in mind. The Family Based Mental Health (FBMH) program is a voluntary mental health treatment for children and adolescents with serious emotional and/or behavioral disorders.
