Therapeutic Staff Support Worker
Overview:
Northern Tier Counseling has immediate openings for part-time
temporary Therapeutic Staff Support Workers. The TSS worker
provides one-on-one intervention to a child or adolescent at home,
school, daycare, YMCA, emergency room, other community based programs or
community settings when the behavior without this intervention would
require a more restrictive treatment or educational setting.
Responsibilities and Duties include:

Specific interventions to stabilizing
child or adolescent.

Support for the family's effort to
stabilize the child or adolescent and to promote age appropriate
behavior by working with the family.

Collaboration with other members of the
treatment team and other professionals working in the home or in the
other community settings and participation in interagency service
planning meetings when possible.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and
organizational skills as well as the ability to work effectively as a
team member.
Qualified people will include: 1) Persons with a college degree in a
human services field with no work experience; 2) Persons with a college
degree in other fields with one year of paid work experience that
involved direct contact with children or adolescents; 3) Persons with an
Associate's Degree or with two years of college and three years of
experience in paid work that involved direct contact with children or
adolescents; 4) Registered nurses with one year of paid work experience
that involved direct contact with children or adolescents; and 5)
Licensed practical nurses with three years of paid work experience that
involved direct contact with children or adolescents.
