Behavioral Specialist Consultant
Overview:
Northern Tier Counseling has an immediate opening
for a Behavioral Specialist Consultant. Serves as a consultant to
therapists, families, schools, and other community agencies in the
development of behavior modification programs for children with a
variety of disruptive behavioral disorders.
Responsibilities and Duties Include:

Provides family, individual, couples therapy and
parenting skills.

Training is provided to clients in the home,
community and school settings.

Responsible for development of the
treatment plan for each BHRS client.

Leader staff person at the treatment team.

Participates in interagency meetings,
behavioral/treatment planning, and carries a limited caseload.

Specific interventions to stabilizing child or
adolescent.

Support for the family’s effort to stabilize
the child or adolescent and to promote age appropriate behavior by
working with the family.

Collaboration with other members of the treatment
team and other professionals working in the home or in the other
community settings and participation in interagency service planning
meetings when possible.

Strong interpersonal, communication and
organizational skills as well as the ability to work effectively as a
team member.
Position
requires: 1) Master's degree in Psychology or Human Services with a
certification in Applied Behavioral Analysis or other national
certification associated with behavioral management recognized by the
Department; and 2) Have at least one year of post-graduate direct
experience providing clinically supervised treatment to children; and 3)
Have at least 12 graduate level credit hours in course work related to
behavioral management theory, interventions, protocols, or techniques;
and 4) Have at least one year of experience practicing those
interventions, protocols, or techniques, which may be concurrent with
the post-graduate direct experience.
