Therapeutic Staff Support Overview: Northern Tier Counseling has immediate openings for Therapeutic Staff Support workers. The TSS positions work one-on-one with children and adolescents in the home, community and school settings. Emphasis on behavior modification, positive reinforcement, modeling, parenting/caretaker skills, teaching social skills, anger management, and conflict resolution techniques. Interested candidates should be willing to travel within Bradford and Sullivan County and possess enthusiasm, creativity, motivation and a willingness to work as a team. Day, evening and weekend hours available. Responsibilities and Duties Include: Specific interventions to stabilizing child or adolescent. Support for the family's effort to stabilize the child or adolescent and to promote age appropriate behavior by working with the family. Collaboration with other members of the treatment team and other professionals working in the home or in the other community settings and participation in interagency service planning meetings when possible. Qualifications: Qualified people will include: 1) Persons with a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field with no work experience; 2) Persons with a Bachelor’s degree in other fields with one year of paid work experience that involved direct contact with children or adolescents; 3) Persons with an Associate’s Degree or with two years of college and three years of experience in paid work that involved direct contact with children or adolescents; 4) Registered nurses with one year of paid work experience that involved direct contact with children or adolescents; and 5) Licensed practical nurses with three years of paid work experience that involved direct contact with children or adolescents.
