About Us

Northern Tier Counseling was founded in 1993 as a 501c3 not for profit private organization.  It has since been a leader in providing mental health, behavioral health, psychiatric, and drug & alcohol treatment services to the communities we serve.  Our locations are spread out across the Northern Tier counties of Pennsylvania.   As you can see from our programs page, we provide a wide variety of treatment services to those in need.  Our mission statement is to welcome and serve all those seeking wellness, renewal, and hope.

Our Board of Directors consists of a group of local individuals working in various areas of commerce and public service.  They volunteer their time to oversee the general operations and strategic direction of Northern Tier Counseling.  Many thanks for their time and dedication.

We employ over 85 professional staff including psychiatrists, physician assistants, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, certified addictions counselors, master's level clinicians, psychiatric nurses, bachelor's level clinicians, and treatment support staff.

Northern Tier Counseling continuously strives towards increasing our quality of care to the community consumers we service.  This is achieved through a variety of informational feedback instruments.  These clinical outcome studies and client satisfaction surveys are regularly examined to continuously improve the quality of services provided.

We offer open access walk-in clinics two times per week.  We believe that our consumers should not have to wait for services.  These clinics offer immediate access to our service delivery system within one to four days of initial contact.  For more information, please click: Open Access.
