Northern Tier Counseling History
A general history of this not-for-profit corporation

Northern Tier Counseling is a private, non-profit organization that was created in 1993 to serve the mental health needs of both Bradford and Sullivan Counties. We are fully licensed through the Department of Health in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Our company is managed by a Board of Directors made up of local citizens and business leaders from the communities we serve.

Our organization operates to provide counseling services to those in need around the Bradford/Sullivan counties. Our clinical staff, of over 120 professionals, is ready to take care of your mental health needs. Our licensed psychiatrists and PhD or Master level psychlogists are knowledgeable in their profession and can offer you a very high level of care. Licensed social workers, clinicians, and certified addiction counselors are highly skilled at addressing drug and alcohol problems. Finally, psychiatric and registered nurses provide neccessary services in the areas of program management, physical health, and medication.

Besides offering our services during normal office hours, Monday thru Friday, we offer a 24-hour crisis hotline which allows you to be attended to at all hours of the day. Also, during normal office hours, a crisis walk-in service is also available.
